Ten free utilities
Every single function has a free alternative — that is true. But they are separate tools, with different interfaces and conventions, often Windows-only or command-line, each updated on its own. None of them produces the report, and none signs with a smartcard or a national eID.
What you pay for is not a feature. It is not having to assemble ten of them — and having a report you can file.
What is not included

The qualified timestamp
RFC 3161 timestamps from public authorities are included and consume nothing. The qualified eIDAS timestamp, which carries a presumption that its date is accurate, comes from a qualified provider and costs one slot per timestamp. Slots are bought separately and are shared with C.E.R.T.O. and LOCUS.
The signing device
Probatio verifies and applies signatures, but the smartcard, token or national eID card remains yours and must be obtained from its issuer. The same goes for a remote signing service.
Admissibility in court
No tool can guarantee it. Probatio is deterministic and its results are repeatable by anyone, but admissibility and the procedural chain of custody remain the professional's responsibility.
Questions about pricing
Is it a one-off price or does it auto-renew?
The licence lasts one year and does not auto-renew: at expiry you decide whether to renew. There are no recurring charges.
On how many computers can I use it?
Up to 5 devices on the same licence — for example a laptop and an office workstation.
What happens when the licence expires?
Reports and files you have already produced remain yours and readable: they are PDFs and standard formats, independent of the application. To keep using the modules you need to renew.
Are timestamps included?
RFC 3161 timestamps from public authorities are included and consume nothing. Only the qualified eIDAS timestamp from a qualified provider is metered, at one slot per timestamp.
Do I need an internet connection?
Not to work: hashing, analysis, metadata and reports all happen on your computer. The network is only needed to activate the licence, for timestamps and for online certificate checks.
